Larry Shepherd was hired as business manager of Minnesota Council for Quality in December 1998. In this role, he assists the Council with internal accounting, bookkeeping, contracts, human resources, and other related activities. Before his current position, he held roles in the following organizations: U.S. Air Force (Flight Engineer), Kansas National Guard (Aircraft Mechanic), Air Force Reserve (Quality Technician) and Defense Contract Management District West (Contract Team Manager). In these positions, Larry has always been involved in improving quality, and has worked with many organizations in a variety of industries to improve their performance and quality of product produced. He has attended Evaluator Training and served as an observer during an Organizational Assessment. He has also served as president of his local snowmobile club, lead snowmobile safety instructor, president of Minnesota United Snowmobilers Association, and has held leadership positions in many other snowmobile related groups and committees. He is also a FAA certified Aircraft and Powerplant Mechanic and has an AA Degree in Aircraft Maintenance Technology.
