Christian Milaster is an excellence-driven, PMP-certified project manager, a business analyst with over 20 years of experience developing requirements, an effective facilitator, and a visionary servant leader, driven by a passion for continuous improvement of self and of the processes that steer people’s behavior. He was born, raised, and educated in Hamburg, Germany, has worked in the US since 1998 and holds a German Diploma-Engineer Degree (Masters of Science) in Technical Information Science (Electrical Engineering and Software Engineering).
Over the course of his career Christian has worked at IBM Global Services in Germany and Toronto, Canada, at Ajilon Consulting for Huntington Banks in Columbus, Ohio and since 2000 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Here, he currently serves as a Project Manager in the Division of Engineering where he and his colleagues design and build unique one-of-a-kind devices for Mayo's physicians and researchers.
Christian is also the founder of two young companies, Ingenium Excellentia–an Excellence Consultancy–and The Because! Group–an organization helping home & business owners to lower their utility bill without having to reduce their comfort.
Christian is currently the chair of the Rochester Area Quality Council board, a member of the Minnesota Council for Quality Board of Directors and on the Minnesota Quality Award 2008 Board of Evaluators. He also serves as the secretary on the board of the Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center and as the co-vice president of the Lanesboro Art Council, is an active member of the Rochester Rotary Club, and, as time allows, facilitates Prejudice Reduction Workshops for the Rochester Diversity Council.
Christian lives in the beautiful town of Lanesboro in a very modern yet highly energy-efficient house that he designed and help build. For relaxation Christian likes to travel, bike, cook & eat, dance, and play keyboard in a Salsa Band. |
